Can the sound be muted? null

Hi Viv, yes the sound can be muted. Press STEAM CLEAN button and hold for 5 seconds to put into mute, hold the button again for 5 seconds to turn on the sound. We hope this helps!

It beeps very softly when the cooking is done and sounds more like a bird chirping! When it use it is relatively quiet and I am very pleased about those features.
