Hi Spear7778. This Microwave has to be mounted over the Range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This microwave is meant for over the range and works great. It is made to function as a hood. So I would say no. You should not use it in an area that will not be used as a microwave hood. Also, it is technically flat on the bottom but has the hood vents that are made to come off for cleaning. So if your looking for more of a sleek look then again probably no. Good luck.
