Yes, just installed mine a couple of weeks ago, and it vents to the kitchen. Don't let all the instructions on how to vent to the outside throw you off.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it can vent back into the kitchen. Mine was set up by default to work that way. Which was good, because I. had enough trouble with the rest of the installstion, mostly due too poor or missing instructions. Ultimately I figured it all out. Took sbout 2 hours or a bit more. Can be a one person job until you raise it to the bracket, and need someone to hold it up for a few minutes while you install the screws fron the bottom of the cabinet and get them lined up with the top of the microwave. “Measure twice, drill, lift and align once!”

Please try again later.I had my microwave professionally installed in late September and have noted that it does not appear to vent properly as I feel the moisture throughout my home and my windows have fogged when I make large pots of stock that often cook for a few hours. I must say, I'm quite disappointed as I vacillated a great deal about the purchase.
