I’m sorry I just got my over the range micro and have not used it long enough to know if it gets hot. Although I have noticed my fan turns off in it’s own after a long tine running. Don’t know if that’s a feature or not?

Hello Vision, we can only recommend the factory installed bulb for this unit. There may be a safety risk if you try to use another type of bulb.
