This will be replacing an old hood that is 6 inches in height, so the space where this will go would be half wall and some ceramic tile backsplash. So my question is can this be installed over tile/partial tile ( the bottom 4-5 inches of this)? null

I had mine professionally mounted since it is hardwired. I am just on normal Sheetrock. Sorry no help
