Do you need outside venting for this unit null

No, not necessary. Of course outside venting is best but has charcoal filter for indoor recycling.

It comes set up to vent out the top of the microwave. You can reverse the fan in the back if you have an outside vent set up. The installation instructions detail how.

HI Mattk, thank you for your inquiry. This model will come from the factory set up for a re-circulating installation, but can be vented outside if you choose to.

Outside venting is an option. Mine is installed without outside venting and works well.
