Dear Bonnie: We are happy to provide you with the product information that you're inquiring. Our new refrigerators will run longer than our old ones, due to their high efficiency motors. At normal room temperatures, expect your motor to run about 40% to 80% of the time. Under warmer conditions, expect it to run even more of the time. Adding a large amount of food warms the refrigerator. It is normal for the motor to run longer in order to cool the refrigerator back down. If your doors are not closing all the way, your refrigerator may run longer and if the condenser coils are dirty, your refrigerator may run longer. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances!
