- Answer Hello Mamem. We do not provide decibel ratings for any refrigerators. A refrigerator will have multiple fans, motors, valves, and other parts capable of producing noise. Newer refrigerators are designed to run almost constantly to maintain one set temperature. Thus, you may hear those parts in motion more than in your previous unit. QuestionI am confused on how to set the temperature on this refrigerator. Are all 3 green lights supposed to be on at all times or just the middle one? Personally I think Whirlpools explanation in the user guide is very poor. Any explanation/ help is appreciated.
