• A:Answer No. They are made in Mexico. I don't know why whirlpool couldn't answer your question....... Probably because they don't want to admit it.

• A:Answer you can open door left or right, hinge is movable for either side. the ice maker is an option that must be installed but the valve and water tubing is already installed on the frig. the ice maker fits on the upper back left side of freezer not the door
