Is the stainless steel smudgeproof? null

This Whirlpool® Refrigerator is not smudge proof.

No it is not, but it cleans up nicely with stainless cleaner

We haven't noticed smudges being too bad, but at first my wife was wiping it down with a sponge regularly and letting it air dry... We started to notice SMALL hints of surface rust so we looked into it and that method of cleaning isn't recommended, but instead after wiping down with anything wet, you go back over it with a dry cloth so you don't leave moisture on the surface. We haven't notice surface rust like this on the GE stainless products we already had...
