• A:Answer This answer is no doubt too late for the original question asker, but for others looking: Yes, the doors are curved, Depth in the middle is about 30 inches, but the depth at the sides is 28 inches. I measured a few times because I've got a small kitchen and I can't get a bigger fridge than the one I'm replacing.

• A:Answer Just measured and it adds about 2.5 maybe 3 inches to open 90 degrees. I have a 31 inch opening and I can just get door to 90. Still able to remove both bottom trays as well.

Q: QuestionThe space I have to fit this width is only 28.5 inches I have walls on both sides. Fridge itself is 28 inches width. Do you think I will have problems opening the door? Do you see any other issues with the width being only 0.5 inches more than the fridge?

• A:Answer Hi Kay, to ensure proper ventilation for your refrigerator, it is recommended to allow a ¹⁄₂" (1.25 cm) space on each side. Allow 3" (7.5 cm) of space between overhead cabinets and refrigerator top. Allow at least 1" (2.5 cm) between back of cabinet and the wall. If you are installing your refrigerator next to a fixed wall, leave enough space on the hinge side to allow for the door to swing open.Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances!
