The buttons on the microwave do require some pressure as this will avoid turning on the microwave unnecessarily. However, the touchpad is user friendly and should not require a great deal of force. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found this as easy to push as most appliances that I have used since most of them use the same acrylic cover except more cheaper models. I have never scene one that is as easy as the touch screen on my phone unless yuou get into custom models at four+ the price. Compare apples to oranges story.
