QuestionHi, This question has been asked 2x and whirlpool has given two different answers. Once and for all does this microwave require that it is connected to an exterior vent ? Or can it recirculate back into the kitchen?

- Answer No it does not. it is set to recirculate back into the kitchen. It requires that you install the exterior vent damper(included) if you desire exterior venting.

QuestionI just purchased this microwave, but I am old and grew up with "NO METAL inside the microwave". While I understand to remove the racks when using normal operation, but the clips for the rack use metal screws. Do I need to remove those clips to use it?

- Answer i believe the interior is a textured aluminum-like metal; it doesn't appear to be a stainless steel interior. it does clean very easily!

- Answer Hi Bwags, unfortunately, this Whirlpool - 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking does not have flat bottom. Turntable may be turned off for manual cooking only. This is helpful when cooking with plates that are bigger than the turntable, or when cooking with plates that are side by side. Turntable cannot be turned off during preset or sensor (on some models) functions.

QuestionI'm having trouble setting the light timer. I need it on at 6pm and off at 6am. Used the prompts to set on in PM then 6o'clock Off on the am then 6o'clock . Nothing. Am I missing something

- Answer Hi Willy, the Whirlpool® 2.1 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Steam cooking is .1 cubic feet larger and has design differences between the older unit and the new unit. It does have a new CleanRelease non-stick interior as well. Thank you for your question!

- Answer There is a filter on the bottom of the unit. It slides out. I usually just wash mine in the dish washer and then air dry it for reuse.

- Answer Hello! Yes, per the Use and Care Guide: Turntable may be turned off for manual cooking only. This is helpful when cooking with plates that are bigger than the turntable, or when cooking with plates that are side by side. Turntable cannot be turned off during preset or sensor (on some models) functions.
