“We choose this microwave but slipped into a cut-out but the unit gets floggy when we cook certain items. Does this unit need to have a certain clearance around the micro to work properly? There is about an inch on the bottom”

Hi Sharon, thank you for your inquiry. The door is vented, so if you are cooking items with a high moisture content, you can get steam in the door. This is normal and should dissipate shortly after the cycle is complete.
