“We seem to be having an issue with the ice maker on our 2 month old Whirlpool WRF555FDSZ15 , the ice maker just can't keep up with demand, our ice usage I'd say is normal. We just keep running out of ice. Is this common or do we need to change a setting.?”

Same issue here, it is a very “small” capacity ice maker compared to other units. I have found it only produces 6-8 trays in a 24 hour period.
