There are two water lines going to the dishwasher. One is the fresh supply line and one is the drain line. Both connect to the fitting that connects to the kitchen faucet. That fitting is divided to direct the fresh water to the dishwasher. The dirty water empty's out the bottom of the same fitting. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you pull the faucet attachment out of it’s storage space at the rear of the dishwasher you will see that there are two hoses connected to the faucet attachment. One hose is for incoming fresh hot water and the second is for out going dirty water that will go down your drain. Appliance manufacturers employ very intelligent investors and they wouldn’t even consider using the same hose for both dirty water and fresh clean water.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dirty water exits through a different hose than the clean water.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a wash cycle and then a rinse cycle. The dirty water exits the same hose after the wash cycle. Then the rinse cycle provides more clean very hot water that enters and exits through the hose again to rinse the clean dishes and also clean the hose.
