“Just bought this thing and have noticed a little vent on the back of the door, but I don't see where it vents out. How does this vent function? Does the vent help keep the air fresh inside the dishwasher if you don't collect the dishes right away?”

Hello! The vent on the door is to release the steam from inside the dishwasher. It will release on the front through the slit in the upper left hand corner. Thank you for your inquiry about our Whirlpool® appliances.
