No it does not, we just did not use the prep bin and instead use the prep tupperware when needed. We have the 2 oversized gallon bins on that side which hold a ton and also allows for taller items too.

Also, my old model had a condensation issue on the freezer door and the middle door. My new one, in less than 6 months, has the same issues. A repairman came out 2 months after my purchase and replaced my freezer door with a new door, but the condensation issues are still there.
