I hear what you are hearing, but it is a low hum when I hear the refrigerator running except when it seems to stop trying to cool the interior because it is at temp, I hear the sound from the dispenser but as I listened to family members and friends water dispensers some are louder than others. It's a part of the way it dispenses, like anything else you will get used to it over time and may not even notice it. I heard the loud hum, but that is the dispenser rotating to be filled with water. This is a good product that happens to make some noise, but it does not mean it's not working properly, These noises are not annoying to me, it is the neighbor with music too loud late at night that annoys me.
