According to Whirlpool, they do not have an issue. However, if you Google "Whirlpool Refrigerator Wiring," you will find NUMEROUS videos about this known issue that Whirlpool refuses to acknowledge - Here is just one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmUFQh78P6w To fix this issue, the freezer door needs to be replaced. Luckily you are within warranty, but you may want to consider a different brand - my wiring was just split short of 5 years.

The two options are splicing the wires, and leaving the bottom panel of your refrigerator open, exposing all the mechanics to your room. OR, getting a new door which for me was quoted at 974, plus labor, and 8 weeks. Since yours is new you might want to go that route. The wires will rebreak.
