• Hello Kimg, model WRS588FIHZ does use a water filter. You would need EDR1RXD1. We hope this helps.

• Yes, The refrigerator has one replaceable filter for water and ice recommended to change every 6 months. I was expecting two filters. The filter is mounted in the refrigerator compartment, not in freezer side.
