- Answer It looks like a thin stainless steel layer on the side you can see and the back of it is plastic. I didn’t realize it until I went to check it to answer this question.

QuestionI just purchased a kitchenaid kmcs1016gss and it says in the owners manual to use trim kit # MK2160AS for stainless steel. But I cant seem to find that AS model number available anywhere only MK2160AZ. Did Whirlpool/Kitchenaid change the model number?
