“Can you fill up the washer with water before adding the clothes? I like to fill it then add my detergent to make sure it’s mixed in the water thoroughly”

Not really, due to the way it figures out the water level required based on weight. It tracks how many gallons it takes to make a predetermined weight & with that can figure out the size of the load & then determines proper water level....this is why people experience the water starting & stopping much more frequently than any machine we've had before.
