A:Answer Unfortunately, the heat has to go somewhere, and because of this oven's design there is simply no way to completely eliminate it from exiting through the lower vents. Adjust the fan as was previously mentioned to minimize the heat coming out of the lower vents (our oven is located in a dedicated "oven space" below a microwave, and that space is vented to the attic and out of the house). We chose this model partially because the venting was through the bottom -- the previous oven was a GE and vented completely through the top, warping its own control panel (plastic) and the control panel of the microwave above (also plastic). At least this oven (because of the fan adjustment) allows venting partially out of the lower vents giving the heated air time to cool somewhat before contacting plastic components.
