This unit does not use a plug. It is required t be hardwired in to 220v in an junction box. The unit comes with the length of flexible conduit preinstalled. You just need to connect the other end to the junction.

Not sure what you mean by receptacle. If referring to pots and pans, they must be flat on the bottom that touches the cooktop, not warped, and they must attract a magnet held close to the pan.
