Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Per your request, yes, the freezer and refrigerator have separate temperature setting devices; so you can set them at the same temperature. However, if you are asking if the freezer can function like a fridge that is a different question that would best be answered by the manufacturer. I would imagine, if you set the freezer low enough it would not freeze the food, however I would be very selective on which foods I placed in that compartment if using it as desired above.
