Wiscolisa, During the final rinse, wait until the washer has completed filling and press the START/Pause button to pause the washer. Lift the lid and add the measured, recommended amount of liquid fabric softener. Do not use more than the recommended amount. Close the lid and press the START/Pause button again to start the washer.

To add FABRIC SOFTENER - During the final rinse, wait until the washer has completed filling and press the START / PAUSE BUTTON to pause the washer. (this unlocks lid) ( BE SURE TO JUST PRESS THE BUTTON, HOLDING IN FOR 3 SECONDS WILL CANCEL CYCLE AND DRAIN THE WASHER.) Lift the lid and add the measured, recommended amount of liquid fabric softener. Do not use more than the recommended amount. (This is also very important in your detergent, to be sure to use correct amount AND to use only High Efficiency detergents, usually just marked with small " h~e " this will ensure best performance. With these new technology low water washers, regular detergents will likely result in longer cycle times and reduced rinsing performance.
