I have the same issue. This is the worst washer that I have ever owned. I will be replacing it with a different brand. It's been doing this since it passed the one year mark.

It is a replacement to a larger style whirlpool washer that gave me nothing but problems of unbalanced loads and constant leaking. So far so good on my new washer and it sounds like you have a lemon. All washers should spin out the extra water after a wash or rinse so you can place them in your dryer or hang them to dry and not have to wait for days for your dry clothes. I have found that the extra protection plan coverage to be a god send for washers and dryers and has always been a good move to add to your purchase.
