“New washer. When selecting the Normal Cycle and Hot Water, the washer fills with warm water. It alternates between cold and hot several times while filling. Shouldn't it fill with hot water only when Hot is selected? Hoses are hooked up properly.”

I asked Whirlpool this same question several times with no clear answer. They said it will fill with cold and hot to wash but you should get only hot water if hot water is selected, which makes no sense. Hot should be hot, not luke warm. Whirlpool reps are not interested in digging further to get the correct answer.
