“We just moved into a house with a gas oven/range. The front of the door gets extremely hot to the touch. It read 160° with a temp gun ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE DOOR. I have a 16 month old that explores everything. Does th range door stay cool to the touch???”

Depending on where the vent is will determine which areas get hotter. While you should be able to touch the outside of the range we would not recommend keeping hands on the unit.
