The above answer about MELT is straight out of the manual. BUT it doesn't answer the question. The specs say it is 1200W but what is the wattage of a regular burner? The description says "it can boil large amounts of water fast", but can it be used to cook as a normal element.?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The warm zone is a great feature. The warm zone is for something you have cooked but not ready to serve so you put it on the warm zone to keep it hot until you are ready to serve. Sorry I can't answer why the burners say melt and there is nothing in the manual to tell you the differences.

The HI heat option can be used to boil small amounts of liquid quickly. The lowest setting can be used to prepare sauces and to keep foods at a low temperature. The Dual Zone cooking element offers flexibility depending on the size of the cookware. Single size can be used in the same way as a regular element. The dual size combines both the single and outer element and is recommended for larger size cookware.
