“The specs indicate a height of 36". Is this correct? Is the 36" from floor to cooking surface, or 36" to the top of the top of the control panel? If this is correct, what is the height of the cooking surface from the floor? Thanks”

Floor to cooktop surface. Mine is almost counter top height. Back part with controls is about another 9" above counter. It does fit very close to back wall.
