Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As an owner of this, I have a standard 30" double basin sink and I can wash the grates in them just fine. The grates hinge up and then you can slide them off for easy removal. Both grates would fit in the dishwasher either standing up or flat depending on your top rack and washer height.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Standard size sink will do as you will need to stand the grate up on end to wash it. Protect the bottom of the sink as the grate is cast iron and will scratch just about any surface. I don't real see the need to wash the grates as they clean up well in place on the stove with a damp rag. They do unhinge very quickly and easily if you want to rinse them in the sink, but they are cast iron and are on the heavy side. I suppose you could put them in a dishwasher, but I don't ever think that would be necessary as they don't get that dirty. So far we love the range and the features. Would not hesitate to recommend this slide in gas range.
