“I noticed the nob and touch panel are on the top instead of in the front, Will they be in the way while you cook? Also if I cook soup and the water boil to spill, is it easy to get on the electronic panel? Thanks!”

I've had mine more than a year and never found them in the way. I prefer them there rather than reaching over flame/food to shut off. The top has a recessed "well" design that contains spills--they don't come up anywhere near the knobs.
