“On the top oven the heat element appears to be on the top portion of the oven...so does that mean it only cooks on a broil setting?”

Hi Wkndshopper, The unit is designed with both a broil and bake feature. In order to use the bake option the bake feature would need to be selected. We hope this helps.

I, too, was reluctant at first, concerned with ruining supper. As it turned out the top of my pie was not cooked to perfection and I pressed the button to broil for about 1 minute 30 seconds! Worry not, you now own a big oven for roasts and turkeys and a very convenient small oven for most daily oven tasks. We are fully satisfied and only regret is we waited to purchase!
