• Not sure please ask. We bought a new one, not that much money , our old dryer was quite old , so didn't trust the old cord...Peace of mind

• More than likely. I have replaced at least 5 dryers and I have been able to swap the electric dryer cord on every one. By swap and replace, I mean swapping out a bad dryer for a good one in the same home, where the cord worked in that house's outlet.
