• The dryer has a hose that is connected to the washer hose. This is how the dryer obtains water for the steam option.

• no, It does has steam, and it DOES have a water input to enable the Steam function. Item comes with a Y splitter for water line, which requires you to have TWO sets of hoses. Cold water line is split for use on the washer AND dryer. DO NOT USE THE HOT WATER LINE

• This dryer actually does connect to the hot water line with a splitting device from the washer hot water hose.
