I notice a fishy taste once I put my new filter in also and I flushed it for about 10 min or more and the taste began to get better.... I don't know if the taste had to continue I was going to take my filter back..

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same experience a couple years back with a type of filter. I immediately stopped using that filter. Flushed my water line and threw out the ice. I also cleaned out the mildew on the parts I could. That sludge pops up everywhere.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well I thing that ur filter have a number and u can bring it to bestbuy and they will give you the correct one. And if is stinking don't drink the water maybe is a filter that have poor cuaity or maybe is absolete already.
