No. I have had no problems with mine. Are you sure that this is the correct filter for your fridge?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wonder if you did the initial run of water thru the filter that the instructions recommend? I think it called for running about 3 gallons of water thru it before using it for drinking water. Once you have run the initial water thru, it shouldn't have charcoal coming out of the filter. I haven't experience any leaking from the filter nor any noise from the filter either. Make sure you have the filter twisted all the way till it stops to prevent any leaks. Are you sure you have the correct filter for your refrigerator?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The water is slowed down because the filter needs to be replaced. The other issues I have not experienced with this particular filter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The water flow on this is the same as the flow I had on my stand alone water cooler so I would say the water flow is normal. I did not experience any charcoal particles in the water or ice but we ran and dumped about three gallons of water and three buckets of ice before consuming on the recommendation of the Best Buy delivery man. I have not seen any leak from the filter seal but again my filter was installed by the delivery man who also told me to make sure it is inserted properly when I replace. I have only owned this fridge for 1 1/2 months and have not experienced any problems but I did purchase the 5yr extended warranty just to be safe as I was replacing a large stainless steel fridge that we had for 16 years and my appliance repair man warned me not to spend too much on a new fridge as the newer ones are not made to last.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've never had any problems with the GE filter. Sounds like you may have gotten a used filter - yucky
