I was worried about the same issue when I bought the Ring Doorbell for my elderly mother for Christmas, so I paid Best Buy to have the Geek Squad install it. When it came time to install, my mother waited through the 4-hour window to have the technicians show up, only to be disappointed when they did not. They rescheduled another appointment for which she waited, agai , only to have Geek Squad fail to show, again. After many hours on the telephone, the answer I got was the Geek Squad is "not allowed" to install in our area. I am a Platinum Plus customer, and I spend many thousands of dollars with Best Buy each year. I spent $600 on this Christmas gift for my Mother's safety many weeks in advance of Christmas, and once again I was dissatisfied with Best Buy. Honestly, ive. Had much better luck with h h Gregg on this sort of thing, and I've decided Best Buy cannot deliver the services and prices they promise.

The Geek Squad technician was able to trouble shoot the system and make adjustments in powering harder to reach cameras with solar powered cells. He did that to only the cameras we agreed to, and carried that equipment with him. He was very low pressure and also very helpful with his suggestions. I thought the installation charge was reasonable and the knowledge and experience of the technician very helpful. And we were done and working in a couple of hours.
