• what type of motherboard do you have and really if u have a really slow cpu your best bet is to build a new pc

• I'm running this graphics card on an old Intel i5 third gen, so this will run with the Athlon x4.

• It would work with exceptions. Older PCIe 2.0 speeds, and depending on game and usage it would bottleneck your CPU. Recommend going with a R7 360/370 or Nvidia 560TI
