• Blu-ray playback on a computer usually requires software. Be sure you have that software. As far as this graphics card goes, it will handle whatever you throw at it including Blu-rays. I have a LG Blu-ray drive in my tower and it plays movies as expected.

• Yes. Blu-rays are more software dependant, however, i have definitely played them in my machine with this card in it.
