• Hi Richard! The lock has a 9V battery terminal on the outside for emergency charging in case of dead batteries. The lock and app also alert you for a few weeks ahead of time. But , if you do get locked out, you hold a 9V battery to the terminal, enter your entry code, get inside and change the batteries.
