what do the connectors look like? null

Typically they are Red & Black plastic twist ends with gold plated Speaker Post style with Banana plug option and speaker post wiring option, the Banana plug option ( highly recommended) requires two male banana plugs ( not supplied with your new speakers ) or you can just strip the ends of you positive & negative speaker wires and loosen the Red & Black plastic speaker posts ends till you see a small hole in each metal gold plated post and gently fit one twisted end into each of the holes in the metal posts and tighten each plastic post end till the Spkr wire is secure and won’t easily pull out.

Don't remember it was either a mechanical press clips or a screw for speaker wire. No connectors.
