• There is a low-level setup in my Yamaha receiver that allows it to safely run 6 ohm speakers. Yours might have something similar.

• I have mine hooked to an 8 ohm Technics reciever, rated at 105w per channel, they sound great.

• Yes just be careful on volume control and equalizer settings. You may be able to blow the speakers. I believe these have a metallic cone which may save you in the long run
