What source are you trying to play (radio, TV, Sirius, etc.)? If you have to pump up the volume that loud the issue is probably with the source, not the receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you are trying to play a turntable or cd player through the reciever, they may have a pre-am button on the back that you would need to press. I experience the same problem with a turntable attach to my Yamaha reciever-no volume or bass. Pressed the pre-am button on rear of turntable and it will blow you out of the house-Hope this works for you.
