yes you can, That is the setup I have and works great for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, .1 is one subwoofer output,. .2 is two. If you had a 5.1 system you can add a 5.2 receiver without issue. If you had a 5.2 and replaced it with a 5.1 system you would loose one subwoofer output. I had a 7,.2 receiver before it got fried. I only had 5 speakers and one sub , so this 5.1 receiver replaced my old unit nicely
