You can use the Yamaha MusicCast app to control the console with your phone via wi-fi which does not require clear line of sight. The included remote is standard RF so you do need a clear line to use it. All of that said - I would strongly recommend NOT enclosing your receiver in a cabinet behind a wall. It generates some heat and should be someplace with good ventilation. Same with game consoles or any other high end electronic.
