Why is the game called "Yoshi"? Seems awfully generic null

Yes bestbuy just threw Yoshi as the title for this preorder. Nintendo released gameplay of Yoshi's Crafted World (that's the title for the new switch game). I'm sure bestbuy will update game title when release information is obtained.

Because if they called it "Super Fun Time Happy Amazing Game! Part II", it would still just be a game about Yoshi.

They called it Yoshi because they did not have a title for the game yet, but wanted fans to know that it is a new and upcoming Yoshi game. Obviously now, you can see that it is now called Yoshi's Crafted World.

Well now its called Yoshi's crafted world. The previous name was just a place holder if you didn't already know.

Because if it was called Mario it wouldn’t make sense

THIS IS A BAD NAME CHOICE FOR A NAME FOR A GAME THAT PEOPLE WILL PLAY ON THE VIDEO GAME CONSOLE THAT HAS A NAME LIKE SWITCH. OH I THINK I GET IT, THEY ARE SWITCHING UP THE GAME! THE NAME GAME. YOSHI.

This was a placeholder title before the actual name of the game was revealed as the game itself was available for pre-order.
