Not sure about rfid on the 5Ci. There's a version that has USB C and NFC. The 5Ci has USB C and Lightning connection. As for body heat, the yubikey is activated by touching the 2 metal contacts along the long sides which generates the token. Shown with arrows on the picture

However, NFC requires you to be much closer than RFID. Additionally, YubiKey features capacitive touch, which senses touch through electric capacitance rather than heat or pressure.
