• Not sure about rfid on the 5Ci. There's a version that has USB C and NFC. The 5Ci has USB C and Lightning connection. As for body heat, the yubikey is activated by touching the 2 metal contacts along the long sides which generates the token. Shown with arrows on the picture

• Hello! YubiKey uses NFC (Near Field Communication), a contactless technology similar to RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification). However, NFC requires you to be much closer than RFID. Additionally, YubiKey features capacitive touch, which senses touch through electric capacitance rather than heat or pressure.
